Dirty, in a word. The location is very central and there’s a nice balcony. You can connect to the TV to play videos, and the internet is decent, but those were about the only positives. The apartment needs basic cleaning and upkeep. The beds squeaked badly and made sleep difficult. The linen was dirty, and the double beds had only single duvets, so we had to use separate small blankets. Neither towels nor bedding were changed during our 3-day stay. The bathroom was filthy, with hair everywhere and damp dust turned to mud. The sink was blocked from the first day and stayed that way all 3 days. The shower head was broken and didn’t work properly, and the rusty hair dryer didn’t feel safe to use. Even the hand soap dispenser was broken. The kitchen wasn’t any better. Pots and pans were dirty, the microwave hadn’t been cleaned, and there weren’t enough utensils. There were no basic cleaning supplies, not even paper towels. The fridge light stayed on and made constant noise, so I had to cover it with a piece of paper. With better cleaning and maintenance it could be much better, but as it is, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We only stayed one night, but the owner was very friendly and let us leave our bags before check-in. The city center was a magnificent 20-minute walk away. The apartment came with free Wi-Fi, a PlayStation 3 and several games, plus soap, a washing machine, sugar, and other things. Highly recommend.

I’ll definitely book this modern, very clean apartment again on my next trip to krakow. It was quiet, had great facilities, and was in an excellent location. The owners were easy to reach and extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay.

Rainbow Apartments left us without a place to stay and no proper explanation. Our valid card kept being rejected on Booking as “not a valid card,” even though it works everywhere else. We tried three other working cards too, and those were all declined for no apparent reason. The property canceled our booking instead of helping. We called multiple times and nobody answered, then sent several emails that got no reply. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend Rainbow Apartments to anyone.
