The Regent was worth the price for our few nights. The room was clean and the bed was okay, which was all we really needed. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was plentiful. They even packed us a takeaway breakfast with a good choice of items. The hotel is well placed for getting around and seeing things. Don't let the graffiti around Krakow old town put you off.

The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us, and the hotel is wheelchair accessible. Our room was a nice size, clean, warm, and had a lovely en-suite. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including tea, coffee and other drinks, cold meats, cheese, bread, cakes, salads, toast and more. There's no restaurant or bar, but pubs and restaurants are close by, as are public transport and taxis. We were there at Christmas, so the markets had a great atmosphere. Had a lovely time and would recommend it.

The hotel is lovely, clean and in a good location, and breakfast was lovely too. The problem is the very active work site right behind and next to it. The noise starts at 7:30am, whether you want to wake up then or not, with jackhammers, angle grinders and workmen shouting. They're only at basement level, so it seems this could carry on for months. Such a shame.

The friendly staff and the fact that breakfast is available were positives, and the bed was made daily. My room had clean sheets, towels and toilet, plus a fire alarm, TV, wardrobe and mirror. Breakfast itself was basic but fine for the morning. Still, compared with other three-star hotels in Krakow, this one disappointed me. It can work if you just need somewhere inexpensive to sleep with basic comfort, but I don't think it really deserves three stars. The room felt cold when we arrived and stayed very cold, especially in the evenings as the temperature outside dropped. Even under the blanket it was uncomfortable. There was a strong smell of cleaning chemicals in the room that lasted until the next day, and the hotel has a strange smell as soon as you walk in. The bathroom had cold floor tiles and a towel dryer that didn't work. The sink was cracked, the tap felt stuck and was hard to turn, the towels didn't look new, and the shower tiles looked worn. I couldn't adjust the showerhead height. The toilet door was awkward to close and needed force, with a gap underneath into the room. The ventilation sounded like a jet engine. The carpet looked old and in poor shape, with several strands of someone else's hair on it when we arrived. The door frame also looked damaged and chewed up, as you can see in the photo. The walls were in bad condition too, dirty in places with peeling plaster. On the first night I worried about sleeping in the bed after seeing what looked like possible bed bug droppings on the carpet. It was probably just dirt, and I'm no expert. I didn't get any bites, so you probably don't need to worry about bed bugs here. Thanks to the staff for taking care of things 🙂 Our windows faced a busy street, and it was noisy in the evening even with them closed, especially when drunk tourists shouted outside. There's a note saying the tap water is drinkable, but I really wouldn't recommend it. It tastes awful. Better to spend a little on bottled water than risk kidney stones. A small thank you to the staff for trying to make guests feel welcome, and especially to the cleaners for making the bed every day. That deserves respect.

We really liked this hotel. The staff were amazing, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. It's in a great location, and we'll definitely come back.
