Vanilla Aparthotel

Martyna at the front desk was one of the best parts of my stay. She was warm, friendly and professional, and I’m very grateful for her hospitality. I had a wonderful time at the hotel and highly recommend it.

The staff were the highlight, so friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated their service. The apartment hotel was clean, nicely styled and easy enough to reach from the centre by tram, though it is a bit outside the centre. I had two small issues: traffic noise from the road and a bed that felt a little too soft for me. I’ll definitely come back.

The tram stop right beside the hotel made getting into the city centre easy, about 20 minutes, and trams came often. There’s no ticket machine at the stop, though, which might be inconvenient for some. We also had occasional Wi-Fi outages that made the stay a little less pleasant. Apart from that, we were very satisfied. The hotel is on Krakow’s outskirts, so it was quieter, but still easy to get into town. A small market beside it sells basic groceries and drugstore items, and there are a few restaurants and a cafe/bakery nearby. Free parking is available at the hotel, or you can use the underground garage for 20 zlotys a day. Our room was spacious, with lots of closets and storage. Most rooms have a balcony, which is a nice extra. We liked the kitchenette, with a microwave, fridge, stovetop and sink. The beds were on the soft side but comfortable, and there were plenty of electrical outlets. The whole hotel, including our room, was pleasantly warm in winter, and rooms were cleaned daily. The bathroom was roomy too, with a shower and good storage. Breakfast was tasty and filling, with hot dishes and plenty of seats in the breakfast room. We did find the room a bit chilly and wished it were warmer.

If you’re working shifts at Solaris, vanilla is only a five-minute walk away, and having a small kitchen in most apartments can be very useful when you finish late. The tram stop is right outside, with a great connection to the city centre in just 15 minutes. The rooms are carefully kept, clean and very quiet at night. Breakfast is generous in the morning at the Oregano restaurant on the ground floor. It’s excellent value for money.
