Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Cracow

On a recent business trip, I found Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Cracow to be a very good choice. It's in a quiet area near Rondo Mogilskie, with easy public transport access and about a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town. Check-in went smoothly, and the friendly, professional staff gave useful local transport advice. My room was compact but modern, clean and comfortable, with what I needed to work or unwind after a long day. The WiFi was reliably fast, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to focus or relax. I also appreciated being able to leave my luggage there after checkout and explore the city.

The beds were comfortable, the room was a good size, and staff kept it clean and attentive. I asked for a quiet room and got one. Breakfast offered a good variety, though some granola would have been nice. The cold milk was a welcome change from hotels that leave it out until it turns lukewarm. There was overnight security, which helped me feel safe. I stayed solo for eight nights, from 24th Nov - 2nd Dec 2025, for my birthday. Rondo Mongilskie tram is only 50 - 60m away. Receptionists Gabi, Kasia and Bart were all friendly and helpful. Bart was especially attentive and suggested places to visit in Zakopane, including where to go, what to avoid and what to see, since it was my first time hoping to visit the Tatra mountains. I also appreciated staff bringing ice cubes for my water, as there was no fridge in the room. There were some things that kept this from being a five-star stay. The pillows were too soft and gave me neck ache, though staff found me a firmer one. The extractor fan didn't work, so the bathroom and mirror steamed up; I reported it, but nothing was done. At times there was a smell of smoke in the lifts and on floors one through four, which bothered me because of my breathing condition. The room was boiling when I arrived, so I turned the heating off and opened the window. You could hear water moving through the radiator pipes, which felt old-fashioned and due for modernising. The double bed had two single duvet covers, which was odd. Breakfast ended at 10am; I would have liked it to run until 10:30 or 11am on weekdays so I could sleep in. At checkout on 2nd Dec, one receptionist simply said, "thanks, you are all done now!" when I returned my key, in an abrupt manner. It would've been nice to be asked how the stay was or wished a safe trip. She also didn't seem willing to help when I asked about getting to the airport, saying "NO, take the train" when I asked whether I could take a tram, without saying where to catch it. Her colleague Anastasia helped and told me to take the train from Galleria Krakowska. I understand they were busy with a group of Bulgarian guests that evening, but after more than seven nights I expected consistently good service. The hotel is a little way from the Old Town, as I expected, but it's easy enough to reach by tram in two stops or by walking 25 minutes. Despite the issues, I enjoyed the stay and still recommend Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Cracow. :)

We had a great five-day stay, and the front desk was helpful, giving us a map of the area. The location worked well: it's a 15-minute walk from the train station and four minutes from the tram we needed for the Old Town. They also offered breakfast for, I believe, 60PLN per person.

We had a lovely time staying here for a trip to the Therme spa. It was convenient and close to lots of places. Laurentiu was so lovely and made us feel welcome. We'll definitely come back. ☺️
