It was okay.

Guests get free parking, plus screens and loungers. Room no. 6 was nice, but the cost felt far too high for what was on offer, closer to motel conditions at a four-star hotel price. The bathroom was cramped and damp, with mold on the ceiling. The toilet sat so close to the sink that using it was impossible.

It was handy having shops, a bakery, and Bałtycka restaurant nearby, with delicious breakfasts there. The villa is also close to the beach and city center. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived: the rooms were lovely and well equipped, with drinking water, tea, coffee, lotions, towels, and a hairdryer. Wi-Fi upstairs on the second floor was a little slow, though we didn't need it.

The comparison with our trips abroad really drove home how poor the value was here. In Romania, Montana 219 had a 35m² room; in Bulgaria, White Cliffs Bjala gave us two rooms totaling 55m². Both stays had air conditioning, mosquito nets, thick towels, and large showers, and breakfast was included in Romania. Bulgaria also had a kitchen, coffee maker, washing machine, big fridge with a separate freezer, two pools of different depths, an elevator, and rooms by the beach with sea views. We paid 460 lei, or 386 PLN, per night in Romania and 466 PLN in Bulgaria. Villa Warta charged 550 PLN a night for a tiny room with a toilet under the sink and fungus. We also got a 100 euro speeding fine in Slovakia and had a free encounter with a live bear in Romania. Owners of Villa Warta, if you're wondering why occupancy is so low, you know the answer. And the breakfast didn't help: cold sausages sitting on a plate instead of in hot water. Our stay was meant to be five days, but we left on the fourth. After picking up the keys, we went to room no. 6 on the second floor and found a so-called family room. I went back to reception to ask why it had been given that name, but nobody was there. I waited a few minutes, then gave up. The room had hardly any space, and the sheets and towels from the sofa bed reeked of mothballs and cheap detergent. It's an attic room, and it was the middle of summer. No air conditioning, and not even a fan in the bathroom exhaust. It wasn't too hot, luckily, so that wasn't disastrous, but the windows had no mosquito nets, even though there were mosquitoes. This was August 2025, not a stay from 1985, though the room may not have changed much since then. There was a fridge, technically, but it was a micro-fridge that might fit one bottle of water and some cold cuts. The bathroom was a nightmare, apparently with no ventilation, judging by the mold in the shower. The shower entrance looked about 50 cm wide between the chimney and wall. And the toilet was shoved under the sink, whose leg went right down to the floor. After checking in, I even waited at reception for someone to show me how to use it. I still have nightmares. There was no T-Mobile signal, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. The photos and reviews don't show the real Villa Warta on Teleexpressu Street in Krynica Morska.
