The place seems better suited to winter and skiing. We came in August during hot weather, and my mum struggled with the uphill and downhill walk. The ski house is on the slope, which made walking up and down more than once too much for elderly people. There was no view from our house because two other houses stood in front, with a privy between them. The rooms were just OK, with traditional wooden interiors. The bathrooms were old and neglected: in one, water leaked from the shower, and in the other, it came from the toilet. The towels were worn out.

The cottages have a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and there’s parking. The views over Krynica are beautiful. They sleep nine people, but there are only two beds, and bathroom space is the main drawback. Nine people could end up queuing for the toilets. There’s no indoor room for them, though there is space outside, even for an outhouse. There’s no lighting between the cottages and the sauna and banya, so you can lose your way a bit after dark. A tip for the owners: bathrobes would be nice for guests using the spa area. P.S. The rooms definitely need to be stocked!

We especially loved having morning coffee on the terrace before heading to the nearby trails. The cottage has a charming mountain feel, and the whole place is peaceful and quiet. In the evening, it’s an easy stroll to a restaurant for a delicious meal.

The owners are lovely, kind, and friendly, and the cottage was spotless and smelled fresh, with no sign of dirt or neglect. It’s a great place for a family holiday, with beautiful views and an attractive location. The ski conditions are always excellent, and the resort is right in the center. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing mountain break.
