Guest House Aida

The terrace has a beautiful view and is a great place to sit, have a beer, or even barbecue. It’s also a very decent base for trips. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly. If you leave your belongings behind, they’ll definitely send them back. Thanks again for a wonderful time. 😀

The Aida house is right beside the ski slope, around halfway down it. Cross the street, put on your skis or snowboard, and slide down. Breakfast is delicious, with a hot dish, bread, assorted hams and cheeses, often an egg, and some sort of salad. There’s a good restaurant at the bottom, though I’d go a little farther and cross the street to "Karczma nad Kryniczanka" (Inn on the Krynica Mountain). In summer, you can hike up the mountain on the trails. I also recommend the park mountain, especially for children, though adults should enjoy it too. It’s a fantastic, cozy hotel in a perfect spot. Highly recommended.

The owner was friendly, the rooms were clean, and there’s a well-equipped shared kitchen if you’d rather cook. You can also buy breakfast, which is generous, and dinner. The bathroom was cramped. The terrace hadn’t been cleaned, so I’m taking off a star. There wasn’t a pool or anything like that in the garden, despite what last year’s comments said. Families with very young children should know the walk to the center is long, and you can’t get through the shortcut under the ski lift with a stroller. With older children, the hillside location wasn’t a problem.

Mr. Adam was helpful without hovering, and the place was warm and clean. You can prepare your own meals or buy them, and the Henryk Ski lift is just a few steps away. The free sauna and jacuzzi are another nice perk. I recommend it.
