The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and communication with both him and his father, who gave us the keys, was great. We’d barely left and were already missing the peace and quiet, the place itself and the charming town of Łagów. This was our second visit, and we’ll definitely be back. So far, there’s one wooden summer cottage, with a year-round brick one due to become available in the near future. The cottage is small, cozy, spotless and well equipped. Towels, bedding, soap, toilet paper and dish soap were provided, along with a washing machine, detergent and fabric softener, a fridge with freezer, and plenty of dishes and cookware. Outside, the fenced property has a barbecue shelter, grill and fire pit, plus sun loungers, garden chairs and two large tables. The terrace is a lovely spot for morning coffee or breakfast. There’s also a playground with a trampoline, and a basket of toys and books for children inside. There’s a TV, though I’d recommend listening to the birds instead. We visited in June and were surrounded by fireflies. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge. ❤️ It’s a wonderful place to get away from city bustle. The cottage is tucked into the forest, with the lake just two minutes away. Across from it is a grassy beach and jetty, and a short walk in either direction brings you to other, larger beaches. The water is crystal clear and comfortable for swimming, even before it has had time to warm up. A forest walk around the lake is well worth it, about 12 kilometers. Walk left and you’ll reach the center of Łagów. Dino is about 1.5 km away, and Biedronka about 2 km.
