The hotel is new and nice, and the location is perfect, only a few steps from the beach. There’s still room for improvement, though. Breakfast tasted good but was the same every day, with very little variety, especially for anyone who doesn’t want eggs, sausages, or bread. The buffet coffee was bad, so you had to order and pay extra for better coffee. Before booking, we called and asked if breakfast could be served in our room because of the coronavirus pandemic. They agreed, but on arrival we were told the waiters were too busy at breakfast, so we had to collect our food from the restaurant ourselves. Staff weren’t following coronavirus safety precautions. I didn’t see anyone wearing a mask or keeping their distance while serving us, so we didn’t feel safe. We were “lucky” enough to have four young teenagers in the room next door, partying and making a lot of noise at night. We called reception, but nothing changed, and we struggled to get our baby to sleep. They need to decide whether they want to be a family hotel or a party hotel. If they want families, someone needs to deal with noise from rooms at inappropriate hours.

The desserts were a real highlight, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good beds and couches. There’s also a big terrace looking out toward the woods. The hotel sits right by the sea and has a large grounds area with plenty for families, including a beach volleyball court, a bouncy castle, and activities for kids. Lunch options are limited, though what’s available is good, and vegetarians don’t have many choices. I’d skip the ramen if it’s offered off menu. Mine came with spaghetti noodles and odd extras like marinated ginger and canned jalapeños. One thing they really need to fix is the breakfast coffee. It was awful, weak, and tasted like it had powdered milk in it. I really hope they get a proper machine.

We enjoyed our stay at Plaza-Resort, Leba, and would happily come back for another holiday by the Baltic Sea. The location is close to the beach and not far from the town center, and the hotel feels elegant, with spacious furnishings. Breakfast was especially good, with lots of variety. Compliments to the cook and the whole team, including the bar and room service. It couldn’t have been better. Best wishes from the Rosteck family in Berlin.

The staff were lovely, and there are nice things for children to do. Breakfast was excellent too, but the coffee was really, really bad. Please do something about it and get a decent espresso machine!

The food was really tasty, juicy, and delicious, so I recommend the restaurant. Just be ready to wait a while, it took about 45-50 minutes for the main course.
