Ksiazecy

We held a small wedding at Książęcy, with around a dozen guests, and the day was badly mishandled. The cake I'd brought the day before was meant to be kept in the fridge, but it wasn't and had started melting. When the food came, we'd already waited an hour at an empty table. The waitress eventually brought bowls of broth noodles, but they were undercooked, and every guest commented on them to me. There weren't enough seats for everyone either, so guests were left unsure where to sit while I stood there stunned by how the chef and Książęcy had arranged things. The timing was wrong despite my calling several times to remind them. When I arrived with the guests, there was only a tablecloth. The waitress then ran around telling everyone we'd arrived too early. The staff's manners were another problem: the waitresses were scattered and unfriendly, didn't treat guests respectfully, and ran around with their skirts riding up and underwear showing. The only one who behaved properly was the short, petite blonde behind the bar. The whole event was a mess, with no organization. Think carefully before booking. A rushed, bad decision can stay with you for life. To the people running and working at Książęce, good luck making your story about how organizing it well will make people happy after embarrassing newlyweds in front of family and friends and ruining a day that should have been special. The manager's apology of half a liter of vodka didn't make up for it. Not even a whole tank of Żubrówka vodka could compensate for a ruined wedding.

We had a great time dancing. The hotel has a distinctive atmosphere, and it's improved a lot since the previous owners.

The service was friendly and the food delicious. I do wonder why the restaurant is so quiet, with so few people in it.

There's a pub here that serves regional beer.
