The food really deserves a mention. Breakfast had fresh pastries, spreads, cheeses, cottage cheese, vegetable salads, and coffee or tea. You could also make whatever you wanted in the kitchenette. It starts at 8:30, which takes a little time out of the day, but it’s worth it. Dinner around 17:30 was just as good. I’ve never had vegetarian food seasoned so well. The owner brought it out and thoughtfully explained the dishes. The host, Macijej, is a fantastic cook, knows the area, and is happy to answer questions. And you can cuddle Albert the dog, too. We spent our time together on the terrace, for meals and for afternoon and evening fun, with a beautiful countryside view. The wooden cottage had a kitchenette, a common room with a fireplace, well-equipped rooms, and downright luxurious bathrooms. There’s also a covered games room with ping-pong, darts, and table football. The stairs up to the attic are quite steep, so keep that in mind, and bring your own slippers. It was an absolutely fantastic stay that exceeded our expectations, simply heaven on earth.
