Mevo Apartament

Really nice apartments.

We booked through Booking for summer 2025. The apartments look very nice, and much of the finish is high quality. But the lack of sound insulation can spoil the whole stay if the neighboring apartments are occupied. Ordinary conversations come through the walls, and you can hear people on the stairs next door as if they were in your own apartment. The walls feel like cardboard. Booking listed soundproofing, which helped persuade us to book, but these apartments aren't soundproofed. A couple of other things didn't match the listing. It said there was a tumble dryer and washing machine in the kitchen, but there was only a kitchenette, with neither appliance. Internet was out when we arrived. Mevo staff helped us get it working, then a power outage brought the issue back, though it was fixed again. The air conditioning is in the upstairs rooms, with a separate unit in each. We were two people, but there was just one remote. At first it didn't work, and later it kept switching off. A repairman came after we reported it and fixed it, but the fault returned. The owner figured out the cause and told us what to do if it shut off again. Luckily, it behaved for the rest of our stay. A few smaller things were broken, torn, cracked, or not working quite right, though none seriously affected using the apartment. One nice touch is the built-in radio, which you can control from the bathroom or by the beds. The staff were lovely, especially the owner. There’s also a cozy café and reading room where you can get very good coffee and desserts during opening hours. Guests can rent bikes and park on site, and there’s a small playground for young children right next to the property.

The fruit cloud cake was a real hit with us, and the coffee was great too. They’ll even make it to suit what you like, which is a big plus. The service was excellent and the decor is beautiful. You should visit, and then come back.

The staff are so friendly that their good mood rubs off on you. Everything tastes perfect, and the ladies at the café have a way of winning you over. Definitely a place I’d recommend.
