I picked this peaceful stop on the road from Germany to Lithuania. It's an atmospheric old house surrounded by forest, on a road from Łódź. The floors creak, but it is a 19th century house. Breakfast was great and cost us 30 zloty per person. There's private parking on site for 20 zloty a night.

The place has a wonderful reception hall in a 19th century hunting lodge, and the smell at the entrance brought back childhood memories of visiting my grandparents. The owners were very friendly, the rooms spacious, and the beds among the comfiest I've slept in for a while. There's secure parking in an enclosed compound, and while it costs extra, the small fee feels worth it for peace of mind. A friendly local bar and grill is about 200yds away. There are some drawbacks. The radiators seemed purely decorative and wouldn't turn on. I had no phone reception, which isn't always a bad thing, but nobody gave me the wifi password, so I'd recommend asking. The saniflo system is loud enough to hear from several rooms away. The showers are awkward too: the quadrant doors wobble and are hard to close, and if you catch the lever while turning, the water can scald you like a lobster. The mount can't be adjusted, and it feels like poor use of space in the planning. Even with those issues, I'd happily stay again.

Lovely hunter-style interior and peaceful surroundings. The owners were very hospitable, and the service felt personal. Breakfast was tasty too.
