Citi Hotel's Łódź

We arrived a few weeks after booking by phone and paying a deposit for a room for two, only to be given a tiny room set up for one: one bed sheet, one pillow, and one towel. The receptionist even said it was very small and told us to come back down if we wanted to change rooms. I don't understand why she gave it to us in the first place. I carried heavy bags up the stairs with an injured foot, then went back down three floors to ask for the room I'd booked. It was after midnight, and the computer system wouldn't let them make a change, so we were stuck. I had to beg reception for another pillow. We barely slept and had a conference that day. The elevator had been switched off to save money, apparently for over a year, so I was hauling the bags around midnight after a long journey with that injured foot. The place is a joke. The young staff seemed lost, and management was the worst and most unprofessional. I've never been treated that way on the phone. It felt like dealing with the Ukrainian mafia. There was no customer service, just rudeness and arrogance. They'd overbooked the hotel. If you like clown hotels, this one's for you, since a bunch of clowns run it. It's the worst place. Don't stay here. There are cheaper, better places, and it's sad to see somewhere like this still in business. I'm sure the hotel will reply saying they did everything they could and are sad and surprised by the negative review. They seem very sneaky and sketchy. Stay away from this "hotel"!
