Vienna House by Wyndham Andel's Lodz

The restaurant was great, and the gym had plenty of equipment. I didn’t get to try the wellness area, though I’d guess it’s top level, given how good everything else was. The architecture is amazing, the staff are kind, and the hotel was 100% clean. Wonderful place.

I booked Vienna House by Wyndham Andel’s Łódź through Booking.com for the night of December 31st to January 1st, 2026, since we were going to the New Year’s Eve party at Manuarte next door. Guests at the event could get a promotional rate of 600 PLN per night, but I’d booked earlier by mistake and paid 1050 PLN, or 450 PLN more. I know that was my error, and I wasn’t asking for a refund because the booking was non-refundable. I asked if the hotel could offer a late check-out around 7:00 PM and a complimentary lunch as a gesture. Both the front desk staff and manager refused, smiling as they did. They offered a 2:00 PM check-out as goodwill, though that’s standard on January 1st, when there are few new arrivals and most guests need to recover after New Year’s Eve. Then I was charged another 70 PLN for parking. Even after paying over 70% more than the promotional rate, they wouldn’t waive that basic fee. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Poland and abroad, and haven’t come across such a complete lack of empathy or flexibility. That’s how they chose to welcome us into the New Year. If you value common sense, guest loyalty, or basic courtesy, this may not be the place for you. I won’t return and can’t recommend it.

The winter teas were a favorite, with jasmine syrup, dried fruit, and spices, just right for freezing weather. My girls had delicious ice cream with fresh fruit. We had a wonderful dinner at this beautiful restaurant. The soups arrived hot and were incredible, and the seconds were nicely balanced and beautifully presented. The service was top notch. We recommend it to visitors and locals alike.

Ala was so hospitable and kind. The hotel is large, beautiful, and comfortable, with clean, well-kept rooms, good bedding, and comfortable beds. Breakfast had lots of variety, tasted good, and was continually replenished even with many guests. The modern sports complex is well equipped, and the top-floor pool has a lovely view. Having gyms open 24 hours is handy. The sauna didn’t work for me. It’s small and poorly designed, so I couldn’t really use it. The pool atmosphere depends on who’s there. Many guests come to relax in the water rather than swim, and when it’s crowded with people, including children, swimming properly can be difficult. The elevator key cards also sometimes weren’t recognized, leaving the lift stuck and causing some anxiety. I hope management looks into that. The parking area connects to the hotel by elevator, which is convenient, though maneuvering in the old building takes a bit of effort. I had a wonderful stay and sincerely recommend the hotel.
