The price has some limits, but what this inn offers falls well below an acceptable standard. Maybe it would work for one night if you could sleep with your eyes shut, assuming the partying neighbors let you. The beds creak and the mattresses sag, while the bedding is long past its best. The room had a smell that wouldn't go away, even with the window open. There's mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the room door feels like cardboard with gaps that let sound through. Even with the windows closed, you can hear the street. Downstairs, workers staying there hold loud drinking gatherings late into the night. The kitchen was just as neglected: none of the plates matched, and every piece of cutlery seemed different. Before you can sit down for breakfast, you have to clear the table after a night of partying. One star only because I can't give less. Stay away.

Three of us went in winter, and I paid extra for a room for five so we'd have space to spread out our things. Instead, we got a three-person room. Two of the beds creaked at the slightest movement, and the crooked, creaky wardrobe had just one hanger. There was a toilet, though it wasn't marked, and I couldn't find the bathroom anywhere. I went from door to door, trying the handles. For some reason the toilet window wouldn't close. Maybe the cold kept away the mice and vermin, which is one small plus. The conditions were poor and not fit for purpose. This is rooms for rent, not an inn, guesthouse, let alone a hotel. The woman we were meant to get the keys from kept calling every 10 minutes, even though we'd already agreed on a 9 p.m. check-in. It seemed like she wanted to hand over the keys and get out of there herself.

We couldn't get a decent night's sleep. Downstairs there was a drinking spree, and the staff stayed until the early hours. At night there was no way to reach the owner, and no interest or help from them. The villa was dirty and run-down, the beds and bedding were falling apart, and the room smelled rotten no matter how much we tried to air it out. One of the worst places we've ever stayed.

The beds are old and sag badly. A disaster. Prices have gone up a lot, but the comfort hasn't improved, so the cost doesn't match the quality.
