I’d seen some bad reviews from before, but it’s under new management now and club Paradise is closed. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. A big thanks to Sonia at reception and Anya in the restaurant, who were especially helpful, and to the breakfast ladies too. The food was great, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and was kept stocked and warm. Best to get there around 7-8am. Thank you very much, and long live Poland!

I stayed on a Saturday in the off season during the pandemic, and there was no disco. The room was tidy and clean, with a big terrace, and the price was very fair. Breakfast was a delicious buffet with lots of choice, all fresh, and the staff were caring and friendly. The receptionist explained the overnight staffing arrangements and gave us emergency phone numbers. It’s a sensible way to manage costs. The hotel met all my expectations. It’s in the town center, near the railway station, and there are a few parking spaces for guests arriving by car.

We had a good stay, and breakfast was good. The room was clean, but it all looked a bit worn. A bulb was missing from the chandelier, there was a blue paint mark on the white ceiling, and the place seemed to have seen a lot of use. Thanks for having us!

We stayed for a wedding, and the dining and function room was nicely furnished. They did an excellent job with the food and drinks, and there’s a second-floor balcony for dining outside. Breakfast included fruit, yogurt, bread, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, tea, coffee, and juice. Scrambled eggs were available if you could get a staff member to serve them. The staff were friendly and helpful, though reception was empty when we arrived. A sign directed guests to the first-floor dining room, where we could find someone. Reception itself is on the second floor, reached by stairs or a lift, both in good condition. The entrance is easy to miss if you haven’t looked it up beforehand, since it’s a door between two shops. Parking is the first left after the door, in a small enclosed area just to your left. The room was clean and nicely presented, if a little worn in places, with professional furnishings but nothing extravagant. I could have used a different pillow, since mine was quite flat. The bathroom was clean and had the usual complimentary items. Some parts of the building and furnishings could use repair, and it would be good to have reception staffed. Still, it’s a nice hotel and seems among the best in the area.

The restaurant is the one bright spot. The chef made a fresh, delightful meal at a reasonable price for the quality, so it might be worth stopping in for dinner on your way somewhere else. The apartment cost more than twice the usual room rate and tried to feel luxurious, but the details let it down. The double bed mattress was very thin, and when we pulled back the two overlapping single sheets, it was clear the mattress was dirty and well used. The bathroom had a lovely corner bath, but the plug was broken and wouldn’t hold water. There were fingerprints on the curtains and hairs in every corner. Reception was rarely staffed, so we were directed to the restaurant for help. During our two-night stay, we returned twice to find our room key disabled and had to look for staff again to get in. The hotel is right in the town center, which is handy for shopping, but the only nightclub in Luban is next door. On Friday night, the bass thumped through the whole hotel, and we could feel it everywhere. Teenagers who’d had too much to drink were also yelling profanities nearby. I can’t recommend this hotel. Between the noise, inconvenience, and poor cleanliness, the downsides are overwhelming. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
