Hostel S?odki Sen

Getting here is straightforward if you're coming from Warsaw, since it's right by the old road, and you don't have to drive into the city center. The hostess was very friendly. The building may look unimpressive outside, but the rooms were clean, and the shared bathrooms and kitchen were sparkling. The hostess kept those spaces in good shape all day. Guests all use them, of course, and anyone who likes a big kitchen and bathroom should be happy. It's a peaceful neighborhood and a handy base for exploring the area. The open-air museum entrance is a five-minute walk away, and the botanical garden is nearby too. The bus stop is also five minutes away, with a connection to the center and Old Town. The last bus back is around 10 p.m., so we could explore Lublin without a car and return after trying some of the local beers. I'd definitely stay here again if I needed a place in Lublin. I recommend it!

We stayed here for a few summer days and came away with a positive impression. The hostess was pleasant and friendly, and understood a little Russian. It was very quiet: the other guests behaved calmly, and the soundproofing helped keep their noise from carrying. The corridor, bathroom, and kitchen were thoroughly cleaned every day. The kitchen had enough utensils for cooking your own meals, and there was a large smart TV in the room. An electric kettle was kept in the corridor, separate from the kitchen, so you could make tea or coffee without going downstairs. The beds were hard, and the bed itself was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep under. I also wish the bathroom had disposable paper hand towels, disinfectant, and liquid soap, as none of those were provided.

The whole building smells awful, and the shared bathroom was so bad my boyfriend nearly threw up. They have air fresheners, but they don't help at all. We won't stay somewhere cheap again. I really can't recommend this place.

The kitchen is great and it's cheap, though bring your own spoons. The plug at the bottom of the bathtub is too small and doesn't work. Mrs. Ewa is lovely, and all in all we had a great stay.
