I wouldn't recommend staying here. The place was filthy and smelled bad, and the bathrooms were especially awful: the toilet stank, the sink was covered in spit, and the floors looked as if they hadn't been mopped for months. The kitchen was dirty and sticky, and the fridge was horrible to use. I couldn't even tell whether the sheets were fresh, they didn't look it. The woman who welcomed us was very nice and said everyone was responsible for keeping their own house in order. The state of the place showed there was no order at all. We were also supposed to have parking on the property, but the gate was locked in the evening. This is apparently a workers' hostel for foreigners. What made it worse was booking through Booking.com, which promotes places like this under its own logo.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. It's a quiet, budget option instead of a hostel, though the beds weren't very comfortable. The towels were tiny, and at my height the upper bed in room 4 was too low.

There was power on the ground floor, so saying the outage was outside the building's control felt like a stretch. For two nights we had no electricity where we were staying. The room, hallway, and winding stairs were dark, and the bathroom was dark with no ventilation. Someone left a refill candle and matches in the bathroom as if that fixed it, but we didn't even get those in our room. Ha ha ha! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff are communicative, and the bedding smelled fresh. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were clean. There's not much in the way of kitchen utensils or equipment, though. The place seems cleaner now and the service has changed. The receptionist doesn't speak the languages, but she tries Google Translate or calls a friend, so communicating just takes some patience.
