Słoneczny Stok

I was at Słoneczny-Stok Apartments from December 30th to January 4th and stayed in room no. 1. The bathroom was tastefully finished in a current style, and the walk-in shower was a good feature. But the toilet is tucked into a corner, which is awkward for right-handed people. The room itself felt cramped. The double bed was narrow and pushed against a wall, with a fairly thick spring mattress on top that made me sink in and sleep badly. There was normally only one duvet, the width of the bed, so it really suited just one person. I had to ask for an extra one. I heard from other guests that some rooms have beds pushed together, but they can separate, so you might end up caught between them while asleep. There were also serious noise and air issues. The window faced the car park and the back kitchen entrance, where waste was sorted and people took cigarette breaks. Cars parked right below the window, and I could smell exhaust and hear engines running. Sometimes that made it impossible to air the room, which was already needed because of a sewer smell from the bathroom. The ground floor rooms had no internal WiFi coverage, and there was no mobile signal either. The room door did little to block sound, so noise from the corridor came through along with the sounds from the sauna entrance, stairs, a TV, game console, and ski locker. New Year's Eve was especially hard. I had paid for that night, but the room couldn't keep out the noise and I got no rest. The guesthouse isn't decorated in a highlander style, but more like a city hotel. The final unpleasant surprise was finding a mouse in the kitchen.

We come back here every year. It's a lovely spot, the rooms are great, and so is breakfast. I always enjoy returning for a peaceful rest.

Right by góra żar, which is a great location. The staff were friendly too.

We were there just for a night, March 7th to 8th, and found the room very nice and the atmosphere lovely. It was peaceful and quiet, and the breakfast was excellent with something for everyone. The cable car up the mountain is close by. We could even see the tourists riding it from the window while we ate breakfast. Highly recommend.
