Willa Mona

We always enjoy coming back with the family. The beach is very close, pets are welcome, and the dinners are tasty and reasonably priced. The rooms are clean and well cared for, the place is very nice, and the owners are friendly. I recommend it to everyone.

I came here a few years ago, and this stay left me disappointed. The younger generation has taken over reception, and the atmosphere feels less welcoming for a vacation. There’s little understanding and a lot of strictness. Pets are allowed, but it doesn’t feel very pet-friendly: even leaving a dog alone in the room briefly gets an immediate call about barking. He’d probably sing if he could... At checkout, the owner was knocking at 10:15 to remind us checkout was after 10:00. I explained that with small children we needed another 15 minutes, but he came back exactly then and reprimanded us again, accusing us of watching TV. The kids were watching cartoons on their phones, but apparently TV isn’t allowed after 10:00. Once we’d checked out, we couldn’t leave the car in the parking lot or borrow a screen. Sadly, that was our last stay at Villa Mona.

Quiet, well located, and the room was pleasantly clean. Friendly service too. I recommend it, and we’ll be back. Highly recommended.

The house and our room were quiet, and we enjoyed playing cards on the lovely balconies in the evenings. The mosquitoes weren’t too bad either. We stayed for 10 days in August and had a lovely time. The place was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We’d booked a three-bed room, but had one extra person with us, and they readily brought an extra bed. Unfortunately, I must have left my ID and my son’s there. They said they would send them to us, but they still haven’t arrived. I hope they come soon, as we urgently need them.
