I had a string of serious problems at Happy Stay - ApartamentyHappy.pl, and they made the trip miserable. The flat itself might look nice in the photos, but I’d tell others to avoid it, especially anyone with a disability or a service animal. They charged me extra for my legally registered service animal as if it were a pet. I believe Polish and EU rules don’t allow accommodations to refuse service animals or charge for them, so this felt discriminatory. The listing also promised things that were missing or inadequate: no welcome chocolate or cookies, no bottled water, no hand sanitizer, no sun deck, and no 24-hour front desk. The heating was poor in winter conditions. There were also damage charges, but they provided no evidence or photos. I left the apartment in good condition. After I politely raised the issue of cleaning staff entering before the agreed checkout time, they accused me of “aggressive behaviour.” That was false, and it seemed retaliatory. I’ve formally requested a full refund for the accommodation and the animal and damage fees, along with withdrawal of the false claims and an apology. If this isn’t resolved, I’ll escalate it to UOKiK, ECC Poland, RPO, Booking.com, the police, and the courts as needed. The missing amenities and charges also struck me as misleading advertising and a breach of contract.
