Hotelik Mazurska Chata

We spent three nights at this hotel. I asked reception for the price for two rooms and my lovely puppy: 1,166 zlts. I agreed and wanted to pay, but the owner told my wife in Polish that he didn’t accept cards and needed cash. We agreed because this was the only place in the area that accepted pets. We explained about our puppy, and he asked for 50 zlts per night. We accepted because we didn’t have much choice. He also offered us a special breakfast price: 40 zlts per person and 30 zlts for our nine-year-old child. We went to an ATM and paid the full amount in cash. The next morning I took our puppy outside to pee in the garden. The owner came out and shouted at me in Polish. He knows Polish and German, as we proudly say. I was speechless. My dog had peed outside on the pavement after eight hours in the room, and had done nothing wrong. That evening we met a Polish and German couple with dogs in the front garden. My wife asked what they paid for their dogs to stay, and they said nothing. We understood everything. I’m also suspicious about my wife’s passport. I think he took a copy, but I’m not 100% sure. Data protection wasn’t working at all. He said something about Schengen. You know, guys, avoid this hotel and this owner. This hotel doesn’t deserve our respect. The owner was rude and aggressive.
