We ended up leaving Village Port early, even though we'd booked eight days in peak season. We were almost the only guests, and eventually understood why. The online photos looked promising, but the reality was a letdown, and the owner wasn't available despite our repeated messages asking to speak with him. The maintenance man couldn't make decisions, so we felt stranded. Getting there requires a 4x4 SUV. The accommodation was a basic container house with a tin roof and simple interior. In the sun it turned into an oven, and rain on the roof was extremely loud. There were no curtains to darken the bedrooms, and no air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine, or window mosquito nets. Wi-Fi only worked on the terrace for a while. The Jacuzzi we paid for wasn't working properly, and the beds had simple foam mattresses. We felt the place was poor value for the considerable amount we spent. We had enough and won't return.

“Mom, I'd like to stay here forever...” was what I heard this morning, and I understand the feeling. Our stay at Village Port was idyllic: the cottage had all the amenities and sat right by the lake. Swans came to the pier, birds circled overhead, and there was greenery and nature all around. The jacuzzi kept the whole family entertained, and we had delicious food at the nearby tavern, Sun Port. Communication with the office staff before booking and with the caretaker during our stay was very good. We'd happily come back. Thank you! We recommend it. ♥️👌

The cottages are in excellent shape, and the lake is an easy walk away. I think the price for what you get is 10/10. A fantastic place, and I'll keep coming back.

Beautiful spot and great cottages. There are two big bedrooms, a living room with a kitchenette, and a large terrace with a grill. It also has air conditioning for when it's too hot. Really, nothing else is needed ;)))

My family and I are so happy here. It's beautiful, and if I could, I'd stay forever. Coffee tastes best on the pier. Thank you for such a warm welcome to the cottage. I'm not saying goodbye, just see you soon. I recommend it to everyone ♥️
