Restauracja - Hotel Mocca D'oro

The staff were consistently polite and helpful, and parking was the main hassle. They guided us each time, though, and we found a space right by the hotel. Weekdays can be noisy from the busy street, but closed windows and air conditioning dealt with it well. The bed is very soft, with a wide slatted base across its full width, so you feel it when your partner moves. Breakfast was a standard continental buffet. On the day we were probably the only guests, they served us the same selection instead. The attic room was great, with air conditioning, a hydromassage bathtub and shower. Its windows are small but let in enough light, and working out which switch controls each light takes a bit of effort. There's lower clearance on the street side. Getting to the room means climbing two levels and passing a short stretch of the restaurant by the bar, which wasn't uncomfortable. The furniture is ordinary, not dated, and the hotel is clean. This is a decent hotel for its category, though the four-star indication on Google is misleading and likely based on technical criteria. It isn't formally a four-star place. The building limits it, and I'd say three stars would be fair. It's a handy base for the Katowice metropolitan area, Ostrava and even Krakow. We'll come back, which is the main thing.
