Best Western Plus Hotel Olsztyn Old Town

The breakfast buffet has a good selection, and the staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. It’s a conveniently located hotel, just a few minutes’ walk from the old town.

I’m staying for a week, and the room gets cleaned and the towels replaced every day. Breakfast has eggs, sausages, cold meats, and several kinds of hot and cold drinks. The hotel is also within walking distance of the town centre. I’d recommend it as a good base for exploring the area, with somewhere to start and finish each day.

The restaurant is nice, but almost half the menu wasn’t available. The hotel is very unfriendly to wheelchair users. There’s no accessible entrance from outside, so you have to come through the car park, which is a shame nowadays. The elevator is really small, the disabled toilets are uncomfortable because of the trouble opening the doors, and the accessible room isn’t large enough to feel okay in a wheelchair. If you have trouble walking, think twice before booking, even if you’re visiting the hospital that’s five minutes away. In a wheelchair, getting there isn’t as easy as Google Maps makes it look or as people say.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the breakfast was great. The hostesses serving it were even lovelier, honestly! If I had to pick at things, the bathroom bottles didn’t say what was in them, and there was no fridge. That was a shame because I had food to give my English friends. It still looked okay after the journey, though, since it was organic vegetables.
