Willa Iskra

We asked about the bed setup for a studio we’d seen listed on the booking site. Since we were already nearby, we stopped in. The owner showed us the apartment, which had just been vacated by the previous guests, and it was fine, with a double bed. But after he learned we wanted to stay just one night, booking suddenly wasn’t possible, even though the studio was clearly available online, and he told us we shouldn’t book it. It seems they didn’t want to bother cleaning the place a bit for a one-night stay. That was unpleasant. I wonder what would’ve happened if we’d booked and paid in advance. Glad we didn’t.

Breakfast was excellent, and the place was clean and nicely located. Every room has a balcony, too. Really good value for the price.

We felt right at home here. The owners are lovely and very helpful, and they put on a great breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. It's well placed for walks into town, the bus station, and especially the Tatra mountains, with a bus stop very close by.

I was surprised by how much we got for the price. The apartment was in perfect condition, the service was nice, and the rates were cheap. It's also a beautiful place close to the city center.
