Event Hostel - Opole

I didn't feel safe here. It's a risky hostel with no staff control, so it seems like anything could happen. There's no reception or staff keeping track of what's going on or who is staying there. That leaves room for serious problems, including antisocial behavior in the rooms with nobody stepping in. I ended up in a dorm with a group of drunk people who seemed more like squatters or street people living there than travelers. If guests are bringing street visitors in to party in the dorm, there's no hostel staff available to help. The bunks have no curtains, and each floor has just one toilet bathroom for three 8-person rooms. Less than ideal.

The little kitchen has everything in it. Everything else was good too, including the cleanliness and nice music. The only hiccup was the entrance PIN, which sometimes needed more than one try.

A comfortable, reasonably priced hostel for a short stay, neat and tidy. In this CO-VID situation, everything is available without a contact person. They ask you to clarify whether the stay is for business or leisure, but leisure didn't work in this situation, so it's better to say business. There's no parking area. In the common space there's a microwave, dishes and a kind of setup for small cooking.

The hostel itself is nice, really clean and has all the amenities. But the bar next door is noisy, with drunk people smoking and yelling outside until 3 or 4 am. The windows do little to block the sound, and light sleepers should find somewhere else in Opole. The owner knows about the problem and has tried calling the police, and is working with the city on it. Until there's a permanent fix, be aware of the noise. For now, they offer earplugs.
