Hotel Weneda

The recently renovated left wing looks good, and the hotel offers good value in Opole. Its real perk is the spa, with a pool, jacuzzi, three kinds of sauna, and a steam bath. I’d definitely recommend staying here over the surrounding hotels.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, with a nice terrace, sauna, restaurant, and good breakfast. The staff and service were amazing, too. Everyone was kind and friendly. We did run into a couple of problems. First, our bed was two separate beds pushed together, which was uncomfortable for a couple. They kindly agreed to move us. In the new room, the shower was very awkward: water went everywhere if we tried to shower without filling the bathtub, and even sitting down didn’t stop the splashing. It was the most uncomfortable shower experience I’ve had. If the bathroom were different, I’d like to stay here again.

The service was terrible. I’d stayed here in summer 2022, then returned with friends for one night. We checked in late, and I specifically asked whether checkout was at 11 or 12. They told me 12. In the morning, I left our bags in the room while my friends and I went to a meeting. When we got back around 11:40, all our luggage had been thrown into the corridor. The housekeeper said reception had told them to remove it, without any discussion. It was a completely unacceptable situation. The receptionist didn’t respond to my complaint, and I had to push to speak with the administrator. We got 50% of the accommodation cost back, but that doesn’t make up for what happened. I work in tourism and deal with different countries, and this is absolutely unbelievable. I’m shocked and wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here. P.S. I have proof that my luggage was in the corridor and of the time we returned. I don’t want anything more to do with this hotel. Terrible service, lies, just awful. I don’t recommend it.

The spa was awesome, and it was included in the price. There are four different saunas, a small pool, and a massive jacuzzi. I had a great time there. Weneda has an older section and a new one. I saw a room in the older part first. It was OK, but nothing special. Then I viewed one in the new section for the same price, and it was WOW across the board. The new wing has the most beautiful indoor smell I’ve ever encountered, a lovely, mysterious fragrance, like perfume rather than just a new-building smell. I need to ask Weneda what it is. The room was AMAZING, probably the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. It was really spacious and solidly up to international 3-star standard, and the bathroom was lush. I loved it and spent hours relaxing in there.
