Being by the river makes this a great base for hiking and cycling in the forests, and it feels properly away from town, surrounded by nature. The rooms were clean, well equipped, and stylish. There’s plenty of space in the building, with a dining area, reception, and brewery. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had lots of choice. We also tried a few traditional dishes from the menu, and they were amazing. I’d recommend it if you like comfort, good food and beer, and being out in nature.

I’ve been back several times for different food, drinks, and coffees, and they’ve always been delicious. On this visit we just stopped for coffee, trying lavender coffee, Bailey's coffee, and some punch. We also ordered apple with crumbs and fudge, plus panacotta. It was all divine. It’s a lovely surprise to find such a fine place in the middle of Tuchola Forest. The design has a rough kind of elegance that feels just right. Set by the lake at the foot of the Forest hill, it makes a great starting point or finish to an adventure. I haven’t stayed in the hotel yet, but that restaurant experience has me planning to.

The soups are well worth trying. The waitresses were amazing and so polite, the food came quickly, and the plates were presented really well. The portions left us more than full, and the prices were good. Really nice place with a great restaurant!

The chicken salad took more than an hour to arrive, and the staff member looking after us wasn’t very friendly. For what you get, it felt a bit overpriced, so unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience. In response to your comment: Has the chicken run away now? Maybe you didn’t serve them in time either…
