Hotel Pod Dębami

Very professional.

The room was a warm, spacious and comfortable apartment. I liked the double triangle bathtub, the two duvets, and the air conditioning in case anyone felt cold. There weren’t any sockets by the beds, though, and the bathroom had no kettle or hairdryer. We and the staff tried, but couldn’t get the TV to turn on. We stayed overnight for a Valentine’s Day party, which was great. The DJ was okay and played some good dance tunes, though he didn’t have my favorite song. The food was delicious, the drinks were good, and the service was impeccable.

I only ate at the restaurant, not at the hotel. Hotel Pod Dębami took us by surprise, and I’d give the restaurant a solid 4/5. I’m not keen on “wedding-style” places, though I get why they’re in demand. The food has good flavor. With the duck leg, I’d have preferred mashed potatoes to the rubbery yeast dumplings. The kids’ “spaghetti bolognese” (???) was average to me, though that may be my love of food and cooking talking. The wine options are a big letdown, which seems common in Polish restaurants. There are just sweet, dry, semi-dry or semi-sweet choices, in red or white, with no varieties listed. I’d rather see some of the big beer and spirits selection replaced with wines. Maybe that’ll change someday. Prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly, and the wait is bearable.

The rooms are small, but cozy, clean, and have what you need. The restaurant does great breakfasts and dinners, and the staff are very friendly and always willing to help. It’s a lovely area for walks and relaxing. I’d recommend it!
