The bed was very comfortable, the hotel was clean, and breakfast was nice. The staff were helpful too. I would have rated it higher if the manager hadn't been rude. She said e-cigs weren't allowed, which I understood as part of the no-smoking policy since they were permitted in the garden. Then she abruptly told me her sense of smell was very acute, she'd be checking around, and I would be fined if I broke the rules.
A clean, cosy place to stay.
We stayed here in mid-September and just wanted a clean, quiet room so we could sleep well before the competition. Instead, the room and bedding stank of cigarette smoke, even though it's supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. There was dirt, dust and cobwebs, mold in the bathroom, and the towels were stained and dirty. The sink siphon was broken and leaking, and the bathroom smelled awful. We didn't need the garden, but it seems to have been replaced by a mini solar farm. This place is past its prime, and I don't recommend it.
The location is about 2 km from the city center, with public transport nearby, and parking is available. You enter using a code. The rooms are large and have a separate small wardrobe. There are options for three people with a balcony or four people with two small balconies. But the garden shown in the photos, including the therapeutic area, isn't accessible in reality. Cleanliness was disappointing: the chairs were falling apart, the towels hadn't been washed, and the carpet and rug had obvious marks left by previous guests.
Check-in was easy, with the door code sent ahead of time. The room had what I needed, including kitchenware, a fridge, stove, kettle, and coffee and tea bags. It was quiet, clean, and had its own parking. I'm very happy with the place.
