I've stayed twice. The place is quiet, including the area around it, and there's a mini-fridge in the room. I think each room has its own bathroom. For the price, it's okay, though there are a few downsides.

On March 14, 2025, I had a Booking.com reservation but was refused entry. The staff member said the property was full and there wasn't a room for me. Getting through to him was difficult because he seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. Before that, I found a staff member locked in a second-floor room. He didn't answer when I knocked, rang the bell, or called, and I eventually managed to wake him. I found the house very inhospitable.

The room was a bit cold, apparently because of a fault, but extra duvets fixed that. Otherwise, it was tidy and well equipped, with a fridge, TV, kettle, glasses, and excellent coffee and tea. There's also a fully equipped kitchen for everyone to use.

The landlord was very nice and helped me when I needed it, which is why I gave three stars, though with difficulty. The duvet had tomato stains left by the previous occupants, and the beds were uncomfortable: an old double and a single with creaking springs. Room 1 is meant for up to three people, but the furnishings are just the bare basics, all old, though not antique, along with a TV, mini-fridge, kettle, and a small toilet and shower room. It's on the side facing a less attractive area. For the price, I expected more. When I mentioned there was no hook for jackets, I was told to use the wardrobe or the door. I can't imagine hanging a wet jacket in the wardrobe, and hanging one on the door would stop the toilet door from closing. This place is really only suitable if you're in dire need and don't care about how you sleep.
