Breakfast is served in a covered courtyard in the middle of the hotel, with a feel that reminded me of sunny Italy. It was delicious and worth every penny. The rooftop terrace also stood out, with a beautiful 360° view of Poznań, especially in the evening. We were just 170 metres (185 yards) from the Old Town Square, right by Kolegiacki Square and close to the Old Market Square. The area was surprisingly peaceful despite being so central. The hotel also has excellent Wi-Fi, a lift, and a 24-hour reception. Every staff member we met was friendly, professional, and helpful. The rooms have a classic period style, while the bathrooms feel modern and have powerful high-pressure showers. Our room had its own air-conditioning unit, so we could set a comfortable temperature. It was a fantastic stay with a great location and service, and I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Poznań.

The staff were terrific, and breakfast, which came with our reservation, was better than we expected. Our rooms were clean and quiet, and the team went out of their way to help with inconveniences. A guy at reception even stayed late so we could pick up our staff many hours after check-out. That kind of service really makes Kolegiacki hotel stand out and shows they care about their customers. The location is literally 1 minute from the main poznan square. Kolegiacki square is quiet, with discreet Christmas decorations and lots of choices for coffee, food, and leisure time.

Our room was roomy and comfortable, with an eclectic look that included a red chandelier, and a nice large bathroom. The building even has a really neat triangle-shaped elevator. Outside, there’s a spacious seating area near a fountain and sculptures, including the goats statue. We visited in October, so the rooftop patio was closed. There’s also an indoor eating area with a full bar, and the liquor selection was impressive, with lots of higher-end options. The location is hard to beat, just a block or two from everything. If we come back to Poznan, I’d definitely stay here again.

Big thanks to the guy at reception. I was close to having my worst hostel experience, but he turned the night around and made it one of my best stays. I really appreciate his kindness and help. Also, thanks to Wiki for always being smiley.

The reception guy did his best to help us, and even stayed late so we could collect our luggage after a late flight. It’s a lovely place in a great location, about a 5-minute walk from most central spots.
