Moon Hostel

The location was excellent, and the price for a private room wasn't too bad. The rest felt quite dated, and cleanliness could have been better. Overall, it was okay.

The hostel was very clean and in a great location, but what mattered most was how the staff helped us. My friend and I got food poisoning somewhere outside the hostel. The receptionist especially took care of things: he called an ambulance, translated between us and the paramedics, and let us book an extra night at short notice. Without him, that evening and night would have gone very differently. If you need help here, you'll get it. Couldn't have asked for better.

The facilities are basic and nothing particularly special. What disappointed me was how the situation was handled. Loud vacuuming in the hallway started around 9:30 in the morning, making it hard to rest. Checkout was officially at 11:00, but I had an urgent identity matter from my university to deal with, so I had to work on my laptop in the lobby with headphones on. I went out briefly for lunch, but stayed until around 4 p.m. The weather had also suddenly dropped from 28°C to 14°C, and I didn't have proper clothes for the cold, so staying inside was my only option. There were only two reception staff in the lobby then. Later, one came over and told me that because I'd checked out, I couldn't stay so long. I understand that's the rule and within their rights, but the way it was said didn't feel very friendly. In a special situation like this, I would have expected a manager to be more flexible. Just sharing some feedback from my experience.

It's not fancy, but it's clean and close to the center. If all you need is a place to sleep, it does the job.
