Don’t let the name fool you. This isn’t a hotel. I’d call it a hostel, except it’s even below that, more like a roadside motel for truck drivers.

It was okay.

We were on the 4th floor, where the hot water came and went. The radiators kept switching on and off, and there were drafts all the time. Apart from that, the stay was fine. The checkout was another story: we paid 700zt per month, then they took 140zt for one extra day and 50zt from the deposit for cleaning. I’d kept an eye on the room, though the faucets weren’t sparkling and there were crumbs under the baseboards. The guys checking out with me were charged 100zt and 50zt.

I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hostel. The attitude is awful, and if you do check in, read the contract carefully. They’re ripping people off: you agree to pay 1900 PLN, then extra charges of 350 or even 500 PLN suddenly appear. In the end, you’re paying 2250 PLN or more for this stinking place that always smells of gas and treats people terribly. They won’t return the money you paid at the start, no matter how clean the room is. You also have to pay 5 PLN for each wash in the shared washing machine. They’re taking advantage of people. The “Kavalerka” costs less and has more square footage than a room in this dorm. Better to find another hostel.
