Hotel Imperium

The restaurant was the worst part: every dish we tried tasted disgusting, and the prices were astronomical. After Magda Gesler's revolutions, all that seems to be left is a picture on the wall. The hotel itself was a disaster too, with no heating, bathrooms in terrible shape, and cabin doors that wouldn’t lock. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Breakfast was beyond words. There was nothing ready, and nobody seemed to care. When we asked, the lady brought two slices of bread and a scrap of ham, which was inedible. The staff should understand that guests aren’t a necessary evil, they’re the reason they have jobs. The double room was so tiny you had to walk across the beds, and the shower was moldy. The place needs a complete renovation. With prices that are definitely exorbitant, it’s amazing the hotel is still in business. I won’t stay there again.

That entrance door was a real problem. It was sometimes locked, and you could only open it from outside with a key, which guests don’t get. You had to ring or call for someone on staff. Sometimes they came in seconds, but at other times there was a wait. My record was 10 minutes, which is embarrassing for a hotel. The room was cramped, with stains on the walls. The bathroom was passable, though the shower stall was laughable, it made opening and closing the door difficult. The restaurant looked nice but didn’t impress otherwise, and breakfast was nothing special. Outside the morning hours, you couldn’t get in because it was locked. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The service was friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend the food. It was about the quality of an average bar, and breakfast was very basic. Rooms were average and could use an update. There wasn’t a proper table or desk, and there was no wardrobe either. It’s fine for one night while you’re traveling, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.
