Rosevia Resort & SPA

The pools and playground are great for kids, and the restaurant food was better than anything else around. But we were sold a high-end resort with a private white sandy beach, and at over 1100zl a night, what we found was a letdown. The apartment was average at best, with a tiny bedroom and an uncomfortable small bed. Our son's old sofa bed was uncomfortable too. It felt like corners had been cut to maximize profit instead of making the stay premium or comfortable. The spa also fell short of the premium promise. There were only two saunas, with no steam room or cold bath or shower. The private beach isn't maintained, is very narrow and rocky, and sits beside a huge concrete border that ruins the view. The resort itself has good amenities, but the rooms are small and, despite being well designed, aren't practical. It looks great in pictures, but that's not what we experienced. It's near a main road, and the traffic is quite noisy. I wish they'd describe it as it is, a nice resort close to a busy road, with small rooms.

It's our second visit, and we hope to come again. The main restaurant had especially delicious food with plenty of variety, and the staff throughout the venue were genuinely accommodating. There's lots for children to do, and the animators kept them entertained every day with a new theme.

The restaurant staff were very service minded, and the food was really good, especially the breakfast buffet, which had amazing choices for kids. The manager arranged for a cleaning crew after we reported the apartment's condition, and invited us to lunch while they worked. It was much cleaner when we returned, though the floor stayed wet until evening, and the flat still felt damp and humid. We paid over 3500 for three nights for two adults, one child, and an infant, and the stay felt far too expensive for what we got. We stayed at Rosevia for a few nights at the end of summer. The flat looked great in the pictures, but the furniture and carpet were visibly dusty, the fridge stank, and the floor was dirty. The bedroom was so tiny that I could touch both side walls with my hands while lying in bed. The baby slept with us because a crib would have cost extra, and there wouldn't have been space for one anyway. Our son's foldable sofa was awkward to open and very uncomfortable, with lots of metal parts and mechanisms. The outdoor playground and pools were great, but the pools close after 7pm, and there's no indoor pool in the spa building. If the weather's bad, there's not much to do. Facility hours were odd too. The restaurant closes at 8 or 8:30pm, so we had to rush back from the beach for dinner. Rosevia's website described the beach as wide and sandy. In reality, it was small and rocky, with algae and jellyfish along the shore, and a cliff and concrete wall on the left that ruined the view. We couldn't really play at the water's edge. After checking out, we drove a few kilometers and found kilometers of wide, open sandy beach, so check the surrounding area if you don't like rocky, rough beaches. The resort is beside a busy street, and we could hear cars from the apartment. Parking also costs extra. We chose Rosevia because the website made it sound perfect for families, quiet, natural, intimate, and luxurious. That's not what we found.

It's a really nice place to stay, and we'd come back. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it's good for young families. We did have a couple of issues: parking costs extra, and there was no coffee with the evening meals. In the restaurant, clearing tables and putting out fresh cutlery was a bit slow, but otherwise it was fine. Finding the main entrance at night was tricky because the contractors hadn't put up lighting to show it.
