Apartament Baltic Star Rewal

The location is great, the facilities seemed good, and there's a small pool on the guesthouse grounds. I didn't use everything, so I can't say if it all worked. Still, at this price I wouldn't recommend the place. I booked the Baltic Star Rewal apartment based on its 9.6 Booking.com rating, despite the steep price of around 330 PLN per night. I stayed with my wife and our six-month-old at the end of August, and I don't think I've ever been so disappointed. The listing claims 25 m², but this is an attic apartment with sloping ceilings across almost the whole space, and it's tucked into the corner. It feels claustrophobic and is maybe 15 m² at most. Heavy rain makes it hard to sleep because it's so loud, which could be especially difficult with a small child. There's no air conditioning, and the coffee machine didn't work until it was replaced halfway through our stay. At check-in, the apartment was almost spotless, but the countertops weren't finished, the place hadn't been aired out, and there was mold inside the wooden windows. We waited two hours while it was cleaned again. The unpleasant smell never went away for the rest of our visit. The owner was the biggest disappointment. We'd arranged a time to arrive, but couldn't reach her when we got there. She called an hour later. When we were leaving, I asked her to be available by phone that evening because I needed to call 30 minutes before departure so someone could collect the keys. We wanted to leave once our child went to sleep and get to the other end of Poland fairly quickly. I called before 8 p.m.; she didn't call back until after 10, saying she hadn't noticed my call. We chose to leave without waiting. We arrived Saturday, and on Monday she was already texting to ask if we'd sent the remaining payment because she couldn't see it in her account, even though she'd already charged nearly half as a deposit. That felt pretty weak. I messaged her with my thoughts about all of this and got no response. I didn't hear a "sorry," though I hadn't even expected an apology.
