I booked through Booking.com for the May long weekend. The price looked very attractive and the property confirmed the reservation, but a few days before arrival someone representing the property called and asked me to cancel. They said a system malfunction had caused overlapping bookings, so there was no room for me. I don’t understand why the property couldn’t cancel it themselves, since Booking.com has that option. But then potential guests can leave a review there. Maybe that was why they asked me to cancel, or maybe they hadn’t fully considered the listed price for such an attractive date. I can’t say. I’m sharing this so others know their travel plans might need to change. At least I got advance notice and didn’t have to travel across “half of Poland” for nothing.
