Hotel Kresowiak

Without carpets in the rooms or hallways, the hotel carries sound everywhere. At 8:00, housekeeping got going at full speed, and we could hear the vacuum cleaners, furniture being dragged, and staff chatting. As for the AC, it was there, but management turned it off at night, when people were in their rooms trying to sleep, and ran it when nobody was around. They said the system was very noisy, but while it was on I only heard a fairly quiet hum. Strange idea.

Noise was another problem, since the place seemed more like a wedding venue than a regular hotel. The room had an AC vent, but there was no way to control the temperature, so at least I could open the window. And despite arriving hungry after the long trip to this far eastern part of Poland, we couldn't get food. We sat at the table and nobody acknowledged us. When I asked, the waitress said she had to check with her manager, then disappeared and never came back. Check what, whether you can serve food? So there's no food service, the AC doesn't work, and it's hard to sleep because of the noise. I wouldn't give it even one star, but there aren't many choices in Siemiatycze village. Avoid staying there.

The dinner was excellent, and the hotel was fine for a business stay. My room looked a little dated and faced the main street, so it was somewhat noisy. Still, I'd recommend it for a one-night stay.

The room was clean, though it looked a little old, and the bed was comfortable enough. You can hear some street noise, but it's fine for a night or two. The restaurant is good.
