It was a basic room on the top floor, with a small bathroom and kitchenette. Nothing fancy, but fine for the price. The location is really good and the staff are very friendly.

The location was very good, and the beds were average. The bathroom had a pervasive smell, and the toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor, so it almost tipped over.

We ended up staying three nights instead of the one we'd planned, because we liked it so much. The owner was kind and really attentive to our comfort, and the place was clean, fresh smelling and comfortable, with everything nearby. Our room had a kitchenette, so making oatmeal or scrambled eggs for breakfast was easy. We could walk to the pier with our five-year-old, and go sledding down Bald Mountain. We arrived as a family without a reservation and were lucky to get the last room. After reading some of the negative reviews, I wondered if we'd been to the same place. Maybe it's had a major renovation since those comments from five years ago: our bathroom was new, the remote worked, and the sheets smelled like cheap fabric softener 🤷♀️

The shared kitchen didn't bother me, and I was happy with my stay. The location is good, the sheets and towels were clean, and the room had a nice feel to it. It could use a little freshening up.
