Villa Opera Sopot

The whole place had a smell, and the windows couldn't be opened. We booked through booking. com, but found an old, rusty building that felt almost like a ghost house.

The bathrooms and kitchen were relatively clean, and the rooms were mostly fine, but the floor was horribly sticky and dirty. The bigger problem came when we returned around 11 PM: about ten aggressive wild boars were eating from the dumpsters. Nobody had warned us, and apparently the owners had done nothing about them for over a year. There was even a hallway sign saying, "This is going to be a WILD night." Seriously, is that supposed to explain the low price? We only managed to get to our rooms after 1 AM. The police arrived two and a half hours later, after seven calls. I highly recommend paying extra for a better hostel instead.

I wasted money and a whole night waiting for the wild boars to leave when I got back to the villa around 11 PM. They'd torn through all the trash, which still hadn't been cleaned up the next day. After I called 911, I was told this was normal and no one would be sent. The owner didn't pick up the phone. Inside, it was dirty, the floors stayed sticky even though the cleaner came every day, the sinks were clogged, and the water smelled. Wild animals, and that's it.

The house itself was fairly clean, but the grounds were badly neglected, with grass up to waist height. The lack of video surveillance and the warning that management wasn't responsible made my short vacation feel more stressful. The only good thing was finding 40 rolls of toilet paper in the two bathrooms. I can't say there was absolutely nothing to complain about, but I can't give it high marks either.
