Hotel Ren & Restauracja Browar Kociewski

The building is newer and looks nice, but the stay was unpleasant. Management seemed incompetent, and the hotel has a lot of unreasonable rules that make things difficult for guests. The spa and pool can't be used before 9 a.m., so there goes a swim before breakfast. The pool rules aren't followed, even though there's a lifeguard on duty who just sits in his office and doesn't seem to care. Don't expect cooperation if you want to change something about your room or restaurant. Not a place I'd recommend to travelers from western countries. Don't go.

Breakfast was the only good part of our stay at hotel ren. The bathrooms were disgusting, with insects on the walls, possibly lice. The spa was closed for renovations, which I can understand, but then hammering and drilling started at 7 in the morning and woke everyone up. It was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. We cut our stay short and moved to another hotel. That's all I have to say.

There was a friendly, happy atmosphere, and the staff spoke great English. They kept my bicycle safely inside. My room and the food were excellent, including the beer, and breakfast was amazing.

The rooms are tiny and poorly maintained for what we paid. Our curtain had what looked like a blood stain, some of the lights didn't work, and the room overall wasn't what I'd expect from a four-star hotel. There was little sound insulation and no privacy. I've stayed at many four-star places, and this one is nowhere near that standard. I wouldn't rate the hotel itself at four stars. If the wedding venue behind the hotel is included in the star rating, that would make more sense.
