You can cook here, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The owner was very nice. It could do with some renovation, but the price and quality are reasonably matched.

It’s close to the promenade and the main sights, so everything is within easy reach. The owner and his wife were kind and helpful, and the guesthouse has its own character. Inside, though, it feels like it was last renovated 30 years ago. The bathroom and toilet are tiny and quite a challenge to use. The floor creaks when you come back in the evening, which could bother some people. There’s a kitchenette in the basement where you can cook and eat. The downside is that there’s no fridge in the room, only downstairs, so even getting butter for a sandwich means going all the way to the basement.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can prepare your own breakfast, so there’s no need to complain about that. The guesthouse is right on the promenade, practically in the center, and Skywalk is a short walk away. The rooms are clean, the bedding smells fresh, and there’s a pleasant scent as soon as you walk in. I don’t know where the hate in some of the reviews comes from, maybe someone frustrated wrote complete nonsense. I’d recommend this place for its atmosphere.

The interior has a lot of character, and the staff were really friendly. The pedestrian zone is very close. Rooms are spacious and clean, though they might need a more thorough vacuuming :)
