Admiral II

The metal bunk beds and the way we were treated were awful. Food was so limited: breakfast was a so-called buffet, lunch was just enough to keep us going, and dinner was meager. There was no empathy or courtesy. We were at Admirał 2 in June 2025. If the accommodation hadn't been prepaid, we wouldn't have stayed even one night. In 40 years, we'd never had an experience like this. Disgusting. I strongly advise everyone to avoid it by any means possible.

It's right on the promenade, with clean rooms and parking at the property. I had a street-facing room with a lovely terrace, and the loud music from the nearby promenade restaurants started around 6 PM. It didn't bother me because I was warned when I booked. Breakfast was the one downside for me. It seemed a little skimpy and unappealing, especially for the price. There are plenty of nearby places to eat in the morning, so I'd stay here without the meal plan.

The hotel is nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. In the morning there's a small buffet, and the little kitchen at least has a kettle. The rooms might be a bit tight for three people, though. Being on the promenade means some weekend noise. What I really couldn't understand was paying another €240 for a week's parking behind the hotel, €30 a day.

Just got back from ADMIRAL II, and I can't recommend it. The rooms are dirty and cramped, with a 19th-century feel, and the bathroom is so tiny you'd rather not go in. The service was horrible. The owners need training, though manners are something they seem to lack altogether. If we'd not paid in advance, we wouldn't have spent a single night there. Give this place a wide berth.
