The rooms and food were okay, and apart from one staff member the rest was fine. The switches in the room seemed rather unsafe. Whenever I went out for a cigarette or to the shop, I saw the same unhappy concierge talking with colleagues and complaining that the people on the previous shift had left him with a bad one. I came for a holiday, not to hear him airing his frustrations. My first impression was poor too: I tried to stop nearby for a few minutes to unload our luggage and check in, but he said parking there wasn't allowed and we had to check in first. We drove away, parked about a mile off and carried our heavy bags in, only for the front desk woman to tell us we could have parked on site for 10 minutes. That's what we'd tried to do.

Service was average, but fine for a relaxing stay.

Good price, tasty breakfast, and clean rooms. The place does have a bit of an old-fashioned look.

The elevator was a real plus, and the place was clean. But I rarely write critical reviews, and this one deserves one. The windows couldn't be closed, which I've never run into at a hotel before. The curtains looked like they were from communist times and let in plenty of light. We were just passing through from Szczecin, where we had a much higher standard for less money. Breakfast was poor too, with the cheapest sausages and coffee poured from thermoses. Calling it average would be generous. We hoped the kitchen might make up for the rest, but it didn't. And even though the hotel is well away from the promenade, karaoke stayed very loud until 3:00 a.m. A real letdown.

The staff were friendly throughout, from reception to the women who look after the rooms. The location is great, close to the beach, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was filling. There's TV and Wi-Fi, and ironing facilities are easy to get.
