If you’re after luxury alone, this probably isn’t the place for you. Old manor houses come with drawbacks, and you need to enjoy that kind of atmosphere. What makes this place special is the feeling you can’t recreate in even the best-equipped newer residences. There’s no sense of rushing for money, and time seems to stand still. The vast, exclusive park adds to the manor’s charm and gives it an idyllic village feel. The owner is incredibly friendly and lets guests enjoy the peace and quiet on their own. We could relax so well in the apartment, which had everything we needed. The place has a lot of atmosphere and was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’ll be back :)

The atmosphere here is wonderful, and it’s a beautiful place. It is a little way from the center of Szczawnica, but I think walking is good for your health, so I don’t see that as a downside.

The hosts were a real highlight, welcoming and attentive to the little things. They helped make our stay feel warm and homely. With greenery all around, the hotel is a peaceful, elegant place to get away from everyday life. My husband and I stayed at the beautiful Hotel Stary Dwór, in the historic Szalay family manor house dating back to 1839. Its Classicist architecture is captivating, and the atmosphere really does feel like a step back in time. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place with soul, history, and lovely surroundings. Hotel Stary Dwór is a true gem in the heart of Szczawnica.
