Grand Park Hotel

The road down to the parking area is quite bumpy and uneven and needs work. The breakfast was good, with a varied selection. We also got a free upgrade on arrival from a family room to the apartment, which was very spacious and clean, and the hotel was cozy. The main drawback was the bathroom setup: there's no door to the bathroom or even the toilet, so everything is open. It might not suit people travelling with someone they're not fully comfortable around. I can't speak to the regular rooms. The spa had two saunas and some heated beds. Treatments were available, though I didn't try one. There's no swimming there, so it's not the place if you want a pool. You get a locker and towel when you arrive.

We had the booking for the "Apartment Grand," described as a junior suite, confirmed in writing, and they had my credit card details. Then, a short time later, the hotel canceled the room without explaining why or offering us another one. For what it's worth, the card is covered and I'm not on any international wanted list. Pretty lousy behavior.

The staff at both reception and the restaurant were really nice, and late check-in was possible. Our room was clean and cozy, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a varied, tasty buffet. There’s free private parking, and check-out is at 12. A wonderful hotel.

The wellness area is beautiful, and the rooms are very nice. It's a lovely place in a quiet location, with a great restaurant.
