Hotel Meta Resort & Vine SPA

The food was very good and there was plenty of it, and we had a great long weekend. The location is ideal if you enjoy risking your life on a couple of narrow, long planks going down the heel. The playroom and arcade can keep both kids and adults busy for hours. Nothing to dislike.

The wellness area was a highlight for us. The pool, saunas, and relaxation zone were very comfortable after an active day, and breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, which made the atmosphere welcoming. The kids liked the playroom and activities, while we adults got some time to relax. We came to Hotel Meta as a family and had a wonderful stay from beginning to end. Our clean, roomy, comfortable room suited us well, and the hotel’s setting right by the ski slope was beautiful even though ski season hadn’t started yet. We’d love to return. It’s a nice mix of comfort, good service, and mountain scenery in Szczyrk, and I’d recommend it for a family getaway.

I had a confirmed reservation through Booking.com, but shortly before arrival the hotel cancelled it on its own, saying my card had been declined. That wasn’t true, the card was valid and working. Booking.com support told me the hotel had actually refused the stay because of an incorrect price, which makes the card explanation seem like a false excuse. After that, the hotel stopped answering messages and wouldn’t explain by phone. Terrible customer service. I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you want to avoid unpleasant surprises.

The Thai massage I tried was a 10 out of 10, and the sauna master was very skilled and made the spa feel magical. We also ate at the hotel’s Thai restaurant. The food was very authentic, and the decor made it a really pleasant place to eat. Modern interiors, a great spa, and a good selection of food made for a very enjoyable stay.
